ITEM #1101: Flamingo Wall Mirror; approx. 22" H x 34"
W x 1" D, from 1940's or 1950's era, in good
condition. It is almost impossible to photograph this item because it is a
mirror and everything will reflect from it. For example, the photo below
was taken out-of-doors and so the mirror shows part of the house, the blue sky
and the white clouds, as well as, part of a deck. The mirror has a gray
colored wood frame, which is barely visible. The mirror is not dark around the edges as the photo may indicate. It is one
shiny mirror from edge to edge. On the left side only, there is a painting
or print on canvas which is mounted behind the mirror; the mirror is
"made" around this picture of two pink flamingos on and around an
island with a palm tree. Pinks, browns, greens, yellows are all some
of the colors used in this picture. This picture also has a small emblem
signature that states, "Turner". It is an unusual piece, and
would be very attractive in the right setting.
